Key policy messages for European Territorial Co-operation.

The objective of the applied research project ECR2 is to analyse the economic crisis and recovery that are at the core of all recent policy initiatives.

The RISE project investigates regional integrated strategies and focuses on Randstad, Zealand, Västerbotten and West Midlands. The report includes useful handbook and toolkit.

This Priority 4 project will encourage and support the use of work and findings from the ESPON 2013 Programme. The aim is to create awareness and sense of ownership amongst key stakeholders.

ESPON organised the Internal Seminar “Territorial Development Opportunities in Europe and its Neighbourhood - Fostering Global Competitiveness” in cooperation with the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The report presents the main findings of the project, the primary purpose of which was to identify metropolitan development trends and their consequences in different spheres while also assessing the policy measures and governance models that guide this development.

The Call for Tender “ESPON post 2013 Ex-ante Evaluation” is open. Deadline for requesting the documentation is 7/01/2013.

Two Calls for Tenders are open: 1) Corporate Identity and Lay-out II and 2) Printing II. Deadline for requesting the documentation is 14/01/2013.

The ESPON Coordination Unit is looking for two trainees for a period of 5 months. Young academics in the final stage of their university studies from Member States of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland are invited to apply. The deadline for applying is 8 January 2013.

ESPON’s contribution to the formulation of adequate policy strategies to enhance Europe’s competitiveness in the global context is in focus at the Internal Seminar on 5 and 6 December 2012 organised in cooperation with the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
