The service contract shall develop a European and macro-regional territorial monitoring tool to continuously observe territorial development trends and patterns. 

The service contract shall provide proofreading and editing of selected ESPON publications, reports and other communication material.

The ESPON transnational conference "Southern Europe at the crossroads: are we making the right decisions about accessibility investments for the future?" will take place on 3 October 2017 at the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in Rome.

The service contract shall provide a high-quality web streaming service, covering the main events organised by the ESPON EGTC.

Capitalising on ESPON evidence, the service contract to be awarded shall develop a set of territorial indicators for the performance monitoring of European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes. The indicators shall facilitate the monitoring and evaluation efforts of Managing Authorities, Joint (Technical) Secretariats and other programme bodies involved in the implementation of  ETC programmes.

The conference will take place during the "European Week of Regions and Cities" on 12 October 2017. It is designed to contribute to the debates on the future Cohesion policy, revealing development trends that require adequate policy response in a wide range of policy fields.

The applied research seeks to produce a long-term territorial development perspective for Europe, supporting EU post-2020 policies and investment programmes.
